The Equipoise Fund created the Atta Girl Awards to give Wyoming women and girls a “butt-boost” for all the lives they lift. The Equipoise Fund invites nominations of inspiring Wyoming women who use their energy and creativity to create positive change for women in Wyoming. Nominees may be engaged in personal, volunteer or professional venues. Their efforts should increase the vision, voice and visibility of Wyoming women directly, or their efforts may empower and encourage other women to claim their voice.
Award
A selection committee made up of Equipoise Fund board members, staff and partners will review nomination forms and select one woman or girl in each category of Vision, Voice and Visibility. Atta Girl recipients will be presented with a $500 cash award as well as an Atta Girl Award. The Equipoise Fund highlights the inspiring stories of all finalists and winners in our e-newsletter and other venues.
Instructions
Nominations of extraordinary Wyoming women are accepted via the equipoise fund website through March 19, 2008. Nominations can be submitted by friends, family or colleagues, and a woman may submit her own name for consideration. If nominators wish to keep the nomination confidential, please advise the equipoise fund. Wyoming women of any age are eligible – you’re never too young or too old to make a difference!
Please know that the selection committee will be reviewing many nominations. While we want to honor all nominees, we truly appreciate nominations that are compelling yet succinct. We encourage you to send a photo of your nominee, but we ask you not to send additional attachments.
The Equipoise Fund prefers to receive electronic nomination forms. Just click the "download nomination" link at the top of this page and save as "attagirls_nomination" to your desktop. Then open the file in Microsoft Word and begin typing. Once you have finished filling out the form, save the file and email it to us as an attachment,met@equipoisefund.org. If you are unable to submit a nomination electronically, please send your typed nomination to:
